Accountant – Investment & Acquisitions Group

About the role

The investment and acquisitions group is seeking a hands‑on Accountant to support financial and administrative functions across multiple companies. You will work closely with the Group CFO, gaining exposure to various entities during a period of expansion.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full accounting function across multiple companies.
• Oversee general ledger, journals, reconciliations, trial balance and month‑end processes.
• Prepare monthly management accounts and annual review files.
• Assist with budgeting and variance analysis.
• Prepare VAT and income tax submissions.
• Support external audits and respond to audit queries.
• Improve financial processes and maintain strong internal controls.
• Liaise professionally with internal and external stakeholders.

Required profile

• BCom Accounting qualification.
• SAIPA or similar qualification advantageous.
• Strong administrative and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Professional, reliable and proactive approach.
