Accountant – Full-time in Brakpan, Gauteng

About the role

We are seeking a diligent Accountant to join our team in Brakpan, Gauteng. The role involves maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and supporting the financial health of an automotive dealership environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reports.
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
• Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Manage payroll processing and related reconciliations.
• Prepare and submit VAT, tax, and statutory returns.
• Monitor cash flow and assist with budgeting and forecasting.
• Maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules.

Required profile

• BCom Degree in Accounting or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years' experience within an automotive dealership and franchise environment.
• Strong accounting and financial reporting skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.

Required skills

• Proficiency with relevant accounting software.
• Strong command of Microsoft Office applications.
