Accountant – Full Cycle Finance Lead

About the role

We are looking for an Accountant to lead the finance function at Macrotec, a designer and manufacturer of high‑temperature industrial equipment based in Ballito, KZN. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will have full ownership of the end‑to‑end accounting process and will play a key role in shaping financial strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Process all financial transactions and manage the month‑end close.
• Prepare and reconcile bank, debtor, creditor and VAT accounts.
• Monitor cash flow and ensure compliance with SARS and statutory requirements.
• Produce management reports and support budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Act as the primary finance lead, providing visibility and impact across the business.

Required profile

• BCom Accounting, SAIPA or equivalent qualification.
• Strong grounding in financial accounting and reporting.
• Experience using an ERP or accounting system, preferably D365 Business Central.
• Organised, detail‑oriented and able to meet deadlines independently.
• Excellent communication skills for interaction with senior management and external advisors.
