Branch Consultant / Financial Advisor (Greytown)

About the role

Promote Sanlam Retail Mass (SRM) products and increase market share by delivering sound financial advice and high‑level client service in a branch setting. Create opportunities for client optimisation and cross‑selling of value‑added services.

Key responsibilities

• Sales delivery – develop deep knowledge of SRM product ranges, assess client needs and financial goals, recommend appropriate solutions, and submit new business through correct channels while managing risk.
• In‑branch client service and retention – service existing client profiles, send payment reminders, manage non‑taken‑up clients, ensure persistency of payments, and resolve queries or escalations according to branch standards.
• Quality, compliance and continuous development – stay up‑to‑date with compliance and quality standards, maintain registration and CPD points, identify and flag fraudulent activity, and keep accurate records of advice.
• Monthly planning and reporting – report daily activities via technology platforms, collate data for weekly and monthly reports, and fulfil ad‑hoc requests from the Retail Branch Manager.

Required profile

• Matric (Grade 12) qualification.
• FAIS compliant (Wealth Management) as per DOFA requirements.
• RE5 qualification advantageous.
• Class of Business training to be completed within 12 months of employment.
