Accountant – Financial Services & Micro‑Lending

About the role

We are seeking a driven and detail‑oriented Accountant to join a fast‑paced financial services organisation specialising in micro‑lending. Based in Randburg, you will manage the end‑to‑end financial processes of the micro‑lending business while ensuring strict compliance with NCR legislation and internal credit policies.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee end‑to‑end financial management of the micro‑lending portfolio.
• Maintain and reconcile financial records and statements.
• Assist with month‑end and year‑end reporting cycles.
• Monitor credit‑related financial processes and ensure policy compliance.
• Support operational finance functions and financial reporting.
• Ensure adherence to internal controls and company policies.
• Prepare audit documentation and support audit activities.

Required profile

• BCom degree (essential).
• 2–3 years post‑qualification experience in finance or accounting.
• Exposure to the micro‑lending or financial services sector is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of NCR legislation and credit policies.
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical ability.
• Ability to thrive in a deadline‑driven, fast‑paced environment.
• Effective communication and organisational skills.
