Accountant – Finance Team (Cape Town)

About the role

Cash Crusaders Retail is seeking an experienced Accountant to join its Cape Town head office. You will play a key role in a fast‑paced import and wholesale environment, ensuring accurate financial reporting, inventory costing and strong financial controls.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Perform reconciliations to balance‑sheet level, including supplier and bank accounts.
• Maintain the general ledger and ensure integrity of financial records.
• Manage inventory accounting, landed costs and import cost allocations.
• Support month‑end and year‑end close processes and external auditors.
• Identify process improvements and strengthen financial controls.

Required profile

• BCom Accounting or equivalent tertiary qualification.
• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in import, wholesale, manufacturing or distribution.
• Professional articles/qualification (SAIPA, CIMA, SAICA) advantageous.
• High level of accuracy, analytical ability and attention to detail.
• Proactive, organised and able to work independently.
