About the role
We are seeking a diligent Accountant/Bookkeeper to join our client’s finance team in Germiston, Johannesburg East. The role supports the senior accountant in delivering accurate month‑end reporting and financial analysis across multiple business divisions.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain the general ledger, processing debtors and creditors transactions.
- Prepare month‑end journal entries and assist with financial statement preparation.
- Support management reporting and variance analysis.
- Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow.
- Collaborate closely with the accountant to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
Required profile
- Relevant B‑degree or Diploma in Accounting/Finance.
- 3–5 years of full‑cycle bookkeeping or finance support experience.
- Experience working closely with senior accountants.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
Required skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Solid understanding of debtor and creditor processes.
