Account Manager

About the role

DotActiv is looking for an Account Manager in Cape Town. The role covers studying signed customer contracts, building project plans for each contract, managing the project, finding growth and solution opportunities, exploring contract renewals and ensuring contracts are properly closed out. The starting cost to company is R30,000 to R40,000 per month.

Key responsibilities

• Engage with the customer and conduct a scoping session
• Prepare the data and brief the scanner on supported duties, then receive scanner input and manage the data
• Use the data to plan and build a shelf plan, obtain customer approval and hand it over
• Build and manage a project plan
• Explore contract renewal or extension and identify growth and solution opportunities
• Manage contract close-outs and file all related documents
• Optimise individual and team performance and oversee human resources functions
• Use DotActiv's category management software; a laptop is required (Windows only)

Required profile

• Consumer Science or Commerce degree or similar from a recognised university
• Business and staff management experience of 2-3 years, preferably in retail
• Good business acumen and general retail experience
• Valid driver's licence and own vehicle, as on-site client visits may be required
• Working laptop with Windows; a laptop allowance is included in the CTC

Required skills

• Category management, clustering and assortment planning (beneficial)
• Space planning and merchandising principles (beneficial)
• Product knowledge of product ranges
• Google G-Suite and familiarity with DotActiv's systems (training provided)
• Project management and team leadership
• Strong written and verbal communication, analytical and interpersonal skills
