YES Internship – Youth Empowerment & Support (2026/27)

About the role

FEM is offering a 2026/27 YES Internship for individuals passionate about women’s empowerment, gender equality and community development. Interns will support program design, research and advocacy while gaining hands‑on experience in the nonprofit sector.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in developing and implementing programs that empower young women and girls.
• Conduct research on gender equality, women’s rights and empowerment topics.
• Support the organization of events, workshops and campaigns raising awareness for gender equality.
• Collaborate with the team to create engaging content for social media, newsletters and other communication channels.
• Provide administrative support such as data entry, scheduling and correspondence.

Required profile

• Passion for women’s empowerment and gender equality.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Previous experience in advocacy, community organizing, or related fields is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
• Familiarity with social media platforms.
