About the role
The Water Plant Operator I is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining water treatment plant systems and related equipment to ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality drinking water to the public.
Key responsibilities
- Operate water treatment plant systems and associated equipment.
- Monitor plant performance and water quality parameters.
- Maintain equipment to ensure reliable operation.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state and local drinking‑water regulations.
