Warehouse Pharmacist Assistant (Post Basic)

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Post Basic Pharmacist Assistant to join our pharmaceutical warehouse in Midrand, Gauteng. The role focuses on ensuring accurate receipt, storage, and dispatch of medicines while maintaining strict compliance with regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and record incoming pharmaceutical stock, monitoring batch numbers, expiry dates, temperature and humidity.
• Pick, pack, verify and prepare orders for dispatch, applying FEFO inventory principles.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts and variance investigations.
• Ensure compliance with SAPC, Good Warehouse Practices (GWP) and cGxP regulations.
• Manage controlled medicines according to legal requirements and support audits and inspections.
• Assist with customer complaint resolution and uphold high housekeeping standards.

Required profile

• Qualified Post Basic Pharmacist Assistant registered with the South African Pharmacy Council.
• Minimum three years experience in a pharmaceutical warehouse environment.
• Proven experience with inventory control and warehouse operations.
• Willingness to work shifts and hold a valid driver’s licence (advantageous).

Required skills

• Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
• Strong computer literacy for data entry and reporting.
