Warehouse Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to lead our Johannesburg facility. The role involves overseeing daily warehouse, distribution and logistics operations, ensuring efficient resource utilisation, and maintaining strong client relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and allocate resources to meet daily operational requirements.
• Manage warehouse, distribution, production and logistics activities, including inbound and outbound stock movement.
• Oversee inventory management, stock control processes and support stock‑take activities.
• Monitor operational KPIs, productivity targets and maintain performance dashboards.
• Conduct daily operational meetings, toolbox talks and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Manage contractors, service providers and ensure compliance with health, safety, environment and quality standards.
• Establish and maintain strong client relationships, adhere to SLAs and resolve service issues promptly.
• Handle employee relations, labour legislation compliance, disciplinary processes and industrial relations.
• Forecast labour needs, participate in recruitment, onboarding and drive Employment Equity objectives.
• Ensure SHEQ compliance, conduct audits and manage risk mitigation plans.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing warehouse or logistics operations in a similar scale.
• Strong knowledge of inventory control, stock‑take procedures and KPI monitoring.
• Experience handling employee relations, labour legislation and industrial relations.
• Ability to manage contractors, service providers and ensure health & safety compliance.
• Excellent communication skills for client liaison and stakeholder management.
• Track record of driving continuous improvement and cost‑reduction initiatives.
