About the role
A long-established manufacturer of energy and power products is looking for a hands-on Warehouse Manager for its regional distribution warehouse in the Southern Suburbs of Cape Town. You will report to the Operations Manager and lead a team of 15 people, including 5 supervisors, keeping stock moving accurately to branches and trade customers.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee receiving, storage, picking and dispatch
- Keep stock accurate through cycle counts and variance checks
- Ensure on-time, in-full regional deliveries
- Look after safety and housekeeping on the floor
Required profile
- Diploma in Warehouse Management, Distribution or Logistics (NQF 6)
- 5 years' warehousing experience in manufacturing, including up to 3 years supervising
- Experience with automotive or industrial products preferred
- Hands-on leadership style, knowing the team by name
- Ability to find the root cause when stock goes missing
Required skills
- WMS or ERP systems (SAP, Syspro or similar)
- Stock control and inventory reporting
- MS Excel for KPI reporting
