Warehouse Chargehand

About the role

We are seeking a Warehouse Chargehand to supervise and coordinate daily warehouse activities in Bloemfontein. The role focuses on ensuring timely receipt, storage, and dispatch of maize and finished products while maintaining safety and housekeeping standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate activities of warehouse staff to ensure timely receipt, storage, and dispatch of maize and finished products.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure proper stock rotation (FIFO).
• Ensure all goods are correctly labelled and stored.
• Implement and maintain housekeeping and safety standards.
• Assist in loading and off‑loading materials and finished goods.
• Conduct regular stock counts and report discrepancies.
• Liaise with production and logistics teams to ensure seamless operations.
• Train new warehouse workers on procedures and safety protocols.
• Achieve warehouse targets.

Required profile

• National Senior Certificate or equivalent to NQF4.
• Supervisory experience is essential.
• At least 5 years of operational experience in a warehouse or distribution facility.
• Valid RSA driver’s licence with own transport.

• Proficient in Microsoft Word.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook.
