Utilities Operator – Boiler

About the role

The Utilities Operator – Boiler will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of steam boilers and associated plant systems at our Devland facility. This role ensures continuous production support while adhering to strict safety and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor steam boilers and related equipment.
• Conduct boiler‑house safety checks and follow standard operating procedures.
• Perform basic maintenance, identify faults and initiate corrective actions.
• Log and report boiler performance data and any anomalies.
• Ensure compliance with statutory regulations such as Pressure Equipment Regulations.
• Manage steam system start‑up, shutdown and operational adjustments.
• Apply knowledge of water chemistry and treatment to maintain system integrity.
• Execute emergency response protocols for boiler operations.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in boiler operation or industrial utilities.
• Understanding of safety and statutory compliance requirements.
• Ability to work on‑site in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong attention to detail for accurate logging and reporting.
