Underwriting Administrator – Trucking Insurance

About the role

Hollard Insure is looking for an Underwriting Administrator for its trucking insurance business in Parktown, Gauteng. The role covers the full policy lifecycle, from new business to renewals, endorsements and cancellations, so that brokers and clients receive a seamless, professional service. The position is permanent, grade C2, reporting to a Team Leader.

Key responsibilities

• Manage underwriting transactions across the full policy lifecycle, from new business to renewals, endorsements and cancellations.
• Process and validate risk and policy data accurately, ensuring system integrity and audit readiness.
• Issue policies, schedules and endorsements within agreed service levels.
• Support underwriting decisions by analysing risk and claims information where required.
• Own the renewal cycle, ensuring timely follow-ups and completion.
• Act as a key point of contact for brokers and clients, resolving queries efficiently and professionally.
• Handle complaints and escalations in line with internal processes and customer fairness principles.
• Support reporting, portfolio administration and quality assurance processes.
• Work closely with underwriting and cross-functional teams, and identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiency and service delivery.

Required profile

• 4 to 5 years' experience in underwriting administration or policy servicing.
• Strong understanding of underwriting processes, policy administration and risk data handling.
• Experience working with brokers and managing stakeholder relationships.
• Exposure to trucking insurance products is advantageous.
• Matric (Grade 12); an insurance qualification or equivalent is advantageous.

• Confidence working across teams and handling multiple priorities.
