Transport Controller

About the role

We are seeking a reliable, hands‑on Transport Controller to support our Johannesburg operations in Jet Park. The role focuses on coordinating air‑freight collections, export packing, cargo receiving, and final delivery arrangements, ensuring smooth movement of goods and clear communication with clients and internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Arrange collections for air‑freight export shipments.
• Coordinate cargo receiving at the warehouse.
• Plan and supervise export packing and container loading when required.
• Schedule deliveries for imported cargo to final destinations.
• Liaise with transporters, warehouse staff, and internal forwarding teams.
• Monitor shipment progress, manage delays or changes, and keep clients informed.
• Ensure all documentation, PODs, and job information are complete and accurate.
• Update systems and manage daily transport priorities and operational challenges.

Required profile

• 2–5 years of experience in transport, logistics, or freight forwarding.
• Experience with air‑freight operations and export packing is preferred.
• Strong organisational and planning ability.
• Calm under pressure, problem‑solver, and takes ownership of tasks.
• Clear, professional communication with drivers, warehouse teams, and clients.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with logistics systems such as CargoWise or similar.
