Training & Development Practitioner – Resorts

About the role

The Training and Development Practitioner will lead the culture and engagement strategy across all Beekman Group resorts in South Africa. Working closely with resort management and the Customer Experience team, the role ensures employees are aligned with the company vision and equipped to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Staff Welfare Manager in defining and growing the company culture.
• Lead the internal engagement of the Beekman W.A.Y initiative, including action planning and goal setting.
• Develop, implement and assess programmes that improve employee engagement and performance.
• Build internal networks, drive change management and communicate culture initiatives.
• Provide guidance to resort managers on best communication practices to boost productivity and pride.
• Organise staff socials and guest interaction events in line with the Beekman W.A.Y plan.
• Design and roll‑out people recognition initiatives across all organisational levels.
• Facilitate training for staff at every level to reinforce company culture.
• Oversee ad‑hoc projects that enhance employee and customer experiences.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in internal communications or culture building.
• Proven ability to lead engagement and staff development programmes.
• Strong analytical skills and the capacity to solve complex problems from multiple perspectives.
• Excellent facilitation abilities and experience managing multiple priorities.
• Self‑starter with a performance‑driven mindset.
• Willingness to travel extensively to resort locations.
