About the role
Schaeffler is looking for a Tool Service Technician in Port Elizabeth. The role ensures that maintenance and repair orders for tools used in production or for products returned are carried out properly.
Key responsibilities
- Communicate with internal and external customers to clarify issues and orders
- Calculate the cost of repair assignments and plan the resources needed
- Plan and oversee maintenance schedules and repair operations, and approve repair results when appropriate
- Ensure adherence to defined guidelines, processes and procedures, and achievement of agreed performance standards
- Take part in plant training programmes for repair personnel
Required profile
- National Diploma or Bachelor's degree in production, engineering or a related field, and/or vocational training
- 5 to 10 years of experience in the automotive industry
- Experience in SAP
- English as a working language
- Analytical thinking and goal-oriented approach; able to lead a department or several teams
