Temporary Bookkeeper – R25k CTC per month

About the role

The company is looking for a temporary Bookkeeper to manage financial administration for its food‑unit operations in Westville. You will support the Management Accountant by handling month‑end processes, reporting, invoicing and cash management across more than 30 units.

Key responsibilities

• Complete full month‑end close for over 30 units, including journal entries, reconciliations and financial analysis.
• Prepare and issue invoices, allocate receipts, and follow up on client payments.
• Analyse monthly trading results, explain variances to Regional Managers and the Management Accountant.
• Present financial results and support sign‑off processes with regional leadership.
• Monitor weekly and monthly closures in SAP, CSFAB/AS400 and other accounting systems.
• Maintain accurate debt book records for more than 30 clients and support credit‑management activities.

Required profile

• Matric plus a relevant tertiary accounting qualification.
• Minimum 5 years of finance or bookkeeping experience.
• Proven ability to manage month‑end processes and large data sets under tight deadlines.
• Strong numeric, analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage a team and handle high‑pressure environments.
• Own transport is required.
