Technical Support Representative

About the role

We are seeking a hands‑on Technical Support Representative to join our Technical team. In this customer‑facing position you will provide on‑site and remote support, training and equipment guidance to clients in the FMCG, retail and meat‑processing sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Provide on‑site and remote technical support for meat‑processing equipment, casings and spice solutions, focusing on CoEx equipment.
• Train customers on operation, maintenance and optimisation of equipment and production processes.
• Assist with meat selection, sausage and worr production, processing techniques, packaging and merchandising best practices.
• Diagnose equipment and production challenges, implement solutions to minimise downtime.
• Support equipment installations, commissioning and start‑up activities.
• Develop and maintain training material, SOPs and user guides.
• Maintain accurate visit reports, training records, equipment feedback and stock documentation.
• Provide technical feedback and recommendations to management.
• Support product demonstrations, trials and sample production in the Technical Innovation Centre.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with retail and FMCG customers while ensuring compliance with food safety, quality and health & safety standards.

Required profile

• Grade 12 (Matric) qualification.
• Valid Code B driver’s licence and own reliable transport.
• 1–2 years experience in a customer‑facing role.
• Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook).
• Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned region and work weekends, public holidays and extended hours as required.
