Technical Lead, Corporate Domain (Salesforce, Finance, Risk)

About the role

A well-established financial services organisation is looking for a Technical Lead to act as the senior technical authority for its Corporate Domain in Johannesburg. The role guides solution design, platform governance and delivery across enterprise systems such as Salesforce/CRM, Finance, Risk, Complaints and Website platforms. It combines hands-on technical leadership with architectural oversight, and includes mentoring low-code/no-code developers.

Key responsibilities

• Define and enforce platform standards, development patterns, naming conventions and documentation
• Ensure solutions meet enterprise security, compliance and audit requirements, including controls for Risk and Complaints systems
• Deliver enhancements, new features and major upgrades, and step in hands-on for complex configurations, workflows and integrations
• Act as escalation contact for high-severity production incidents, run root-cause analysis and ensure high-quality releases
• Mentor low-code/no-code developers and promote automation, reusable components and new technologies such as AI-assisted development tools
• Translate business needs into technical design and communicate technical decisions to non-technical stakeholders
• Work with Architecture, Cyber Security and Data teams, and manage vendor relationships for platform support and third-party ERP/EPM builds (e.g. NetSuite, Anaplan)

Required profile

• Proven experience as a senior developer or architect, hands-on with configuration, workflow building, code review and troubleshooting
• Strong experience leading low-code/no-code platforms (e.g. Salesforce, Dynamics 365, ServiceNow, Power Platform, Protecht)
• Strong mentoring track record and experience setting development standards, code review and documentation
• Understanding of risk management, compliance and audit requirements; ability to identify and drive remediation of technical debt
• Excellent communication and ability to manage competing priorities under time pressure

• REST API design (OpenAPI/Swagger, versioning) and SOAP/WSDL integration
• OAuth2/JWT security, retry and error-handling patterns
• Azure Service Bus / Event Grid and cross-system data orchestration
• Salesforce (Apex, LWC, Visualforce, SFDX), Azure (App Services, Functions, APIM, Key Vault, Azure DevOps, Application Insights)
• Data engineering (Azure Synapse Analytics, Python, PySpark, Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2) and C#/.NET Core
• SQL Server / Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, ARM/Bicep or Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, Git branching
