Tax and Compliance Accountant / Analyst

About the role

The Tax and Compliance Accountant/Analyst will support KFC (Pty) Ltd’s finance team by ensuring accurate tax reporting and compliance with local legislation and Yum! corporate policies. The role involves preparing audited financial statements, managing statutory audits, and delivering timely tax forecasts and filings.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare Annual Audited Financial Statements for multiple entities in accordance with local legislation.
• Lead and coordinate statutory audits for all listed entities.
• Ensure timely and accurate internal and external tax reporting, including VAT, income tax, and withholding tax.
• Perform quarterly tax forecasts, true‑ups and update UTP disclosures.
• Compile information for tax audits and manage tax‑related audit close‑outs.
• Prepare tax and VAT cash‑flow forecasts and maintain transfer‑pricing compliance.
• Obtain and submit WHT certificates from revenue authorities.
• Address internal and external audit control deficiencies within defined timelines.
• Support the Tax and Compliance Manager with ad‑hoc projects and control initiatives.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of country‑specific tax laws and regulations.
• Proven experience in preparing audited financial statements and managing statutory audits.
• Ability to produce accurate tax forecasts and compliance reports.
• Experience working with external auditors and tax authorities.
• Detail‑oriented with strong analytical and reporting skills.
