Tax Administrator

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Tax Administrator to join our professional accounting practice in Pretoria North. You will manage a diverse client portfolio, ensuring compliance with South African tax legislation while developing your expertise in tax administration.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and submit Individual, Company and Trust Income Tax Returns.
• Complete Provisional Tax, Dividend Tax and VAT calculations, and submit VAT201 returns.
• Manage VAT reviews and audits.
• Process PAYE, UIF and SDL calculations and submit EMP201 returns.
• Perform IRP5 reconciliations and handle PAYE reviews and audits.
• Prepare and submit Workmen's Compensation Fund returns.
• Register and deregister clients for various tax types, UIF and WCF/RMA.
• Handle SARS correspondence, queries, reviews and objections, including applying for Tax Directives and Tax Clearance Certificates.
• Attend SARS appointments as required and assist clients with tax‑related queries.
• Perform general administrative and reception duties, liaising professionally with colleagues and clients.

Required profile

• Relevant Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Tax or a related field.
• 2–3 years of experience as a Tax Administrator, preferably within an accounting practice.
• Experience managing a portfolio of clients and strong knowledge of South African tax legislation.
• Fluent in English and Afrikaans, with excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Own reliable transport and a valid South African driver’s licence.
