Supply Planner – Optimize Loads & Inventory

About the role

The Supply Planner will coordinate load planning from Paarl to key customers, ensuring cost‑effective distribution while meeting in‑stock targets. Working closely with the Distribution Manager and weekly depot planning, the incumbent will balance forecast‑driven replenishment with peak periods, promotions and holidays.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and optimise loads to minimise transport costs and maximise truck utilisation.
• Monitor stock availability and adjust allocations to meet service level targets.
• Coordinate gifting stock allocation, phasing and control.
• Prepare and distribute monthly operational and sales reports for stakeholders.
• Process monthly stock regrades and manage ageing, discontinued and obsolete inventory.
• Analyse forecasts to reduce waste and improve distribution efficiency.
• Reallocate stock between depots to prevent lost sales.
• Manage primary distribution and bulk transport cost controls.

Required profile

• Grade 12 with a relevant tertiary qualification.
• 3‑5 years of planning experience in an FMCG environment.
• Minimum 3 years of proven people‑management experience.
• Strong attention to detail, resilience and ability to work under pressure.
