Supervisor: Sport Grounds and Cemeteries (Brandvlei)

About the role

The Hantam Municipality is seeking a Supervisor to manage the sport grounds and cemeteries at Brandvlei. The role involves overseeing waste collection, heavy‑vehicle operations, and the maintenance of facilities while ensuring health and safety compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and control procedural applications related to parks, gardens, cemeteries and sport fields.
• Operate heavy vehicles (refuse trucks or tractor with trailer) during maintenance and waste‑collection activities.
• Supervise personnel, assign tasks and ensure performance standards are met.
• Coordinate administrative and reporting requirements.
• Monitor utilisation, maintenance and performance of machinery, equipment, tools and materials.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations to minimise accidents and maintain a safe work environment.
• Participate in the municipality’s performance management and development system.

Required profile

• Grade 9 or equivalent technical qualification.
• Valid Driver’s Licence Code C and a PDP.
• 1–2 years of relevant experience in a similar supervisory or operational role.
