Strategic Sourcing Manager

About the role

Ericsson is looking for an experienced Strategic Sourcing Manager to lead supplier and partner development for its Network & Managed Services business in West and Southern Africa. The role focuses on driving profitable outcomes through proactive sourcing, contract negotiation, and performance management.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, qualify and negotiate agreements with suppliers and partners for all external NMS purchases.
• Lead RFx and bidding processes to ensure cost competitiveness and value.
• Evaluate, select and onboard suppliers based on business requirements.
• Manage supplier contracts, relationships and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Optimize total cost of ownership in line with global objectives.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, local regulations and ethical standards.
• Collaborate with legal, compliance, finance, risk and cross‑functional teams to deliver timely, compliant sourcing outcomes.
• Support operational excellence and contribute to long‑term sourcing strategy.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, engineering or related field; advanced degree or professional certification (CIPS, CPSM) preferred.
• 5‑7 years of proven strategic sourcing and procurement experience.
• Strong commercial, contract management and financial acumen.
• Data‑driven analytical mindset with experience in forecasting, reporting and modelling.
• Excellent negotiation skills and ability to work in ambiguous, multicultural environments.
• Fluency in English; French and Portuguese are assets.
