Store Leader – Retail Management

About the role

The Store Leader is responsible for delivering an exceptional customer experience while driving sales, profitability and operational excellence in a wellness‑focused retail environment. This role combines hands‑on floor management with strategic oversight of stock, finances and team performance.

Key responsibilities

• Manage customer interactions, resolve complaints and ensure service standards.
• Optimize selling space, drive replenishment and maintain stock availability.
• Achieve sales targets, reduce waste, improve stock accuracy and control controllable expenses.
• Interpret income statements, develop action plans and monitor financial performance.
• Ensure store audit benchmarks are met and continuously improve store disciplines.
• Implement effective stock control, cash handling procedures and risk‑management practices.
• Lead, coach and develop team members, fostering a performance‑driven culture.

Required profile

• Grade 12 or equivalent.
• Completion of Wellness Foundation and Managerial training.
• Minimum 3 years wellness retail experience, including managerial duties.
• At least 5 years overall retail experience with 2‑3 years in a supervisory role.
• Genuine interest in health and wellness.
• Fully computer literate with strong written and verbal communication.
• Willingness to work weekends and extended retail hours.
• Own transport is essential.
