Stock Controller

About the role

Lumax Energy, a manufacturer of solar mounting and engineered structural solutions, is looking for a Stock Controller to ensure accurate inventory management across its warehouse. The role is ideal for a detail‑oriented professional who thrives in a structured, process‑driven environment and takes ownership of stock accuracy.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain overall stock accuracy through regular cycle counts and full stocktakes.
• Investigate and resolve variances, ensuring all discrepancies are documented and corrected.
• Control stock movements, including receiving, transfers, picking, dispatch, returns, adjustments, damaged and quarantine stock.
• Ensure ERP transactions are accurate and reflect real‑time inventory status.
• Monitor receiving and dispatch processes, enforcing bin discipline.
• Support audit readiness and halt any movement when documentation, quantities, or system records do not match physical stock.

Required profile

• Matric qualification.
• 3‑5 years of experience in stock control, warehousing, or inventory management, preferably in a high‑volume environment.
• Hands‑on experience with ERP systems for processing receipts, transfers, adjustments, and dispatches.
• Strong Excel skills, including filters, formulas, lookups, and pivot tables.
• Proven ability to investigate stock losses, shrinkage, and recurring variances.
• Fluent English communication and report‑writing abilities.
• Eligibility to work in South Africa and reliable transport for occasional after‑hours counts.
