Staff Nurse – Clinical and Phlebotomy Specialist

About the role

PathCare is seeking a dedicated Staff Nurse to join the Wilgers branch in Pretoria. The role focuses on delivering high‑quality patient care, performing phlebotomy, and supporting pathology services.

Key responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomy procedures, including order of draw and sample handling.
• Operate Point‑of‑Care instruments such as Hemocue, Stratus, and arterial blood gas analyzers.
• Maintain accurate patient records using computer systems, with Skylims knowledge preferred.
• Drive to various sites using a valid Code B manual driver’s licence.

Required profile

• Enrolled Nurse Certificate and registration with the SANC.
• Minimum two years of post‑registration experience.
• Fluent in English with an understanding of Afrikaans.
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.
• Strong client focus, attention to detail and ability to work in a team.
