Solutions Architect, Payments, Transaction Banking (CIB Technology)

About the role

Standard Bank Group is looking for a Solutions Architect for its Payments and Transaction Banking (CIB Technology) area in Johannesburg. The role defines, develops and maintains domain architectures and designs, provides high-level roadmaps aligned to a common technical direction, guides architects on projects and initiatives and contributes to architecture principles.

Key responsibilities

• Define, develop and maintain domain architectures and designs, and provide high-level roadmaps for solution implementation
• Guide architects delivering projects and initiatives within the focus area and provide thought leadership
• Ensure domain architecture conforms to approved reference architectures and contribute to architecture principles
• Follow Agile methodologies and build team competence for continuous delivery environments
• Align the team with the Product Manager toward shared technical roadmaps
• Analyse complex business problems spanning multiple applications, platforms and databases and recommend technology solutions
• Communicate solution risks and impacts to stakeholders in Client Solutions, Client Segment and Domain Architectures

Required profile

• Postgraduate degree in Information Technology
• 5-7 years: good understanding of Agile, Lean and Scrum, collaborative work across teams, and experience managing platforms and operating systems
• 8-10 years: in-depth experience designing solutions in areas such as authentication systems, system/platform/account migrations, enterprise solution architecture, business, information, application or technology architecture, with a balanced mix of technologies and industry knowledge
• Work experience in IT architecture, infrastructure, cloud development, engineering and software architecture design, business analysis, DevOps, project and product management
