Huawei Cloud Architect - Enterprise Architecture, Banking

About the role

Standard Bank Group is looking for a Huawei Cloud & Technology Architect to provide architectural leadership for Huawei Cloud and related Huawei technologies across the Group. The role defines, governs and evolves cloud platform capabilities, standards and adoption, working with Architecture, Infrastructure, Security, Engineering, Data, Risk and Technology teams.

Key responsibilities

• Define, govern and evolve Huawei Cloud platform capabilities, standards and adoption across the organisation
• Develop cloud architecture standards, target-state roadmaps, reference architectures, platform blueprints and governance frameworks
• Own the design, governance and continuous evolution of the Huawei Cloud Landing Zone, aligned with enterprise architecture, security and regulatory requirements
• Lead the establishment of cloud foundations, landing zones, operating models, platform guardrails and cloud-native practices
• Act as trusted advisor on strategic technology initiatives and drive consistent cloud adoption at scale

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or a related discipline
• 10+ years in Enterprise Architecture, Solution Architecture or Cloud Architecture in large enterprises, with cloud transformation experience
• Proven track record in banking, financial services or highly regulated industries
• Strong understanding of TOGAF, Zachman or equivalent frameworks
• 5+ years designing and implementing Huawei Cloud solutions; AWS or Azure experience is also considered
• 5+ years implementing CI/CD and DevSecOps, with IaC (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation) and Kubernetes/Docker/OpenShift
• 3-5 years leading architecture, engineering or platform teams

• Huawei Cloud services: ECS, VPC, CCE, OBS, RDS, DLI, Cloud Security and IAM
• Landing zone design, cloud guardrails, network architecture, identity management and workload onboarding standards
• CI/CD, DevSecOps, Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, Kubernetes, Docker, OpenShift
• Preferred: HCIE/HCIP/HCIA, TOGAF, CCSP, AWS/Azure/GCP or Kubernetes certifications
