About the role

Join a leading financial services organisation in Cape Town as a Software Developer with strong Oracle expertise. You will help deliver innovative, high‑quality applications while optimising existing systems for maximum performance.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and implement software solutions that meet business requirements.
• Improve and optimise legacy systems to enhance efficiency.
• Troubleshoot and debug large codebases, addressing root‑cause issues.
• Mentor junior developers and lead technical design sessions.
• Contribute to test planning, automation and unit testing.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Business Analysts and IT Operations.
• Document technical requirements and processes for knowledge sharing.
• Participate in agile ceremonies and cross‑functional discussions.
• Identify improvement opportunities and propose innovative solutions.
• Act as a subject‑matter expert in technology forums.

Required profile

• 3–10 years of software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in APIs, HTML5, JavaScript, jQuery, Oracle, XML, Angular, PostgreSQL, Oracle Forms and SOAP.
• Experience in the financial services industry is a plus.
• Excellent troubleshooting, mentoring and collaboration skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, agile environment.
