About the role
We are looking for a skilled Software Design Engineer to join our team in Pretoria. You will work on embedded software projects, translating user requirements into robust, high‑quality code.
Key responsibilities
- Capture and analyse user requirements
- Design and implement software solutions
- Create and maintain project documentation
- Conduct technology research and stay up‑to‑date with industry trends
- Organise and attend design reviews
- Perform regular software builds and manage version control
- Address support and production requests
- Write technical design documentation
- Mentor junior team members
- Assist business development activities
Required profile
- BSc in Computer Science or BEng in Computer Engineering (or equivalent)
- 3‑5 years of professional software development experience
- Minimum 3 years of embedded software development using C
- At least 1 year of software development using C++
Required skills
- C programming language
- C++ programming language
