Social Media Specialist

About the role

A full-time Social Media Specialist position (reference 5303) based in PE/Gqeberha, advertised by Online Personnel. The role covers content planning, paid media management, influencer coordination and performance reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Build and manage a monthly content calendar across all platforms and brands
• Plan, build, launch and optimise paid campaigns across Meta, TikTok and Google
• Identify, onboard, brief and manage influencers and brand ambassadors
• Attend brand events and activations to capture and publish real-time social content
• Produce and publish trend-led video for TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts
• Design and run user-generated content campaigns that drive brand advocacy
• Monitor and respond to comments, DMs and mentions in a brand-consistent way
• Track KPIs and produce weekly snapshots and monthly deep-dive reports
• Run regular competitor reviews and present creative strategy recommendations
• Identify and manage brand collaborations and co-marketing partnerships

Required profile

• Minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience in social media, digital marketing and paid media
• Relevant qualification in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media or equivalent practical experience
• Hands-on experience running paid campaigns, with ROAS and CPC results to show
• Ability to conceive and edit short-form video for TikTok, Instagram Reels and Shorts
• Comfortable reading platform analytics and turning them into clear reports
• Experience managing more than one brand account is highly advantageous
