Social Media Manager – Remote (Johannesburg)

About the role

This role requires a strategic creative thinker who understands social media trends, content creation, audience engagement, and performance analytics. You will be responsible for executing high‑impact social media campaigns, ensuring that content is visually compelling and strategically aligned to business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop content calendars and social strategies aligned with client KPIs.
• Conceptualise creative campaign ideas to boost engagement and conversions.
• Write engaging social media copy, captions, and campaign messaging.
• Collaborate with designers and video editors to produce high‑quality visual content (images, carousels, reels, TikToks, stories, long‑form video).
• Plan, create, and schedule multi‑platform content across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, Twitter, YouTube, etc.
• Monitor and engage with audiences in real time, responding to comments, messages, and brand mentions.
• Manage crisis communication and social media reputation.
• Plan and optimise paid social campaigns in partnership with the media team.
• Track, measure, and analyse performance metrics and deliver regular performance reports.
