Social Media Coordinator

About the role

We are seeking a creative Social Media Coordinator to join a purpose‑driven brand in South Africa. You will shape how the brand connects with audiences across multiple platforms by producing culturally relevant, engaging content and supporting strategic campaigns.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and update social media content calendars for Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
• Write platform‑specific copy that aligns with brand guidelines.
• Monitor trends, cultural moments, and emerging formats to create timely content.
• Produce and edit short‑form video assets such as Reels, TikToks, and YouTube Shorts.
• Create static and video assets using tools like Canva and CapCut.
• Collaborate with design, marketing, compliance, legal, and regional teams through creative briefs.
• Manage campaign timelines, approvals, and content workflows.
• Support influencer collaborations, digital competitions, and community initiatives.
• Use social media management tools for publishing, scheduling, listening, and reporting.
• Track performance metrics (engagement, reach, follower growth, video performance) and provide actionable insights.

Required profile

• Creative and organised professional with a strong understanding of digital audiences.
• Grade 12 or equivalent qualification required.
• Degree, diploma or certificate in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Communications or related field preferred.
• 2‑3 years of hands‑on experience in social media content creation and campaign coordination.
