About the role
The Silo Manager will be responsible for the effective management of the silo to ensure optimal profitability. This permanent position is based in Cradock, Eastern Cape and requires strong leadership, administrative and financial skills.
Key responsibilities
- Manage the silo in line with the approved budget.
- Supervise and manage silo staff.
- Oversee customer service and maintain client relationships.
- Ensure sound financial practices and cost control within the department.
- Handle all administrative functions related to silo operations.
Required profile
- Grade 12 qualification.
- At least 4 years of grain/silo experience as a Silo Manager.
- Fumigation certificate and grain grading certificates completed.
- Previous experience supervising or managing staff.
- Valid driver’s licence.
Required skills
- Strong communication skills in Afrikaans and English.
- Computer literacy.
- Excellent administrative and organisational abilities.
- Experience in budgeting and cost management.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Good knowledge of the market and business environment.
