Showroom Manager – Retail (Oudtshoorn)

About the role

The Showroom Manager is responsible for the overall performance and day‑to‑day management of a homechoice showroom in Oudtshoorn. The role combines sales leadership, customer experience, people management and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Drive showroom sales performance against targets, budgets and growth objectives.
• Lead daily performance discussions, coach the team on conversion, upselling and average basket value.
• Ensure high‑quality customer experience, manage escalations and communicate promotions.
• Lead, motivate and schedule a diverse showroom team, handling leave, attendance and performance reviews.
• Maintain visual merchandising standards, conduct daily floor walks and address compliance issues.
• Control expenses, cash handling and stock management, including shrinkage and stock takes.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years experience in a retail, sales‑driven environment.
• Minimum 5 years experience leading and managing teams.
• Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent; tertiary qualification in Retail, Sales or Marketing preferred.
• Clear credit and criminal record.

Required skills

• Strong computer literacy with experience using retail systems and MS Office.
