Share Dealer / Administrator – Customer Service (6‑month Fixed Term)

About the role

Join the Financial Services division as a Share Dealer/Administrator, providing front‑line support to investors in a busy walk‑in centre and via phone. This six‑month fixed‑term position is based in Johannesburg and focuses on accurate investor registration, trade processing and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Register new investors on the platform and verify existing investor details.
• Assist walk‑in and phone investors with share purchases, sales and trade instructions without giving investment advice.
• Load trade instructions received telephonically and ensure all FICA (and occasional BEE) requirements are met.
• Answer inbound calls, handle complaints, troubleshoot issues and provide clear information.
• Collect, verify and upload investor applications, follow up on missing documentation and dispatch required forms.
• Maintain accurate investor records, update information and arrange dispatch of forms and communications.
• Identify priority issues, escalate when necessary and stay informed about share‑market trends.

Required profile

• Matric certificate.
• At least 2 years of customer‑service experience, preferably in a call‑centre environment.
• Fluent English communication skills.
• Basic computer literacy.
• Strong collaboration and communication abilities.
• Attention to detail and an empathetic approach to customers.
• Willingness to assist colleagues and a good sense of humour.
