Senior Systems Engineer (Remote, US Hours)

About the role

Netsurit, a global managed services provider, is looking for a Senior Microsoft Systems Engineer (L3) to work remotely on US business hours. You will act as a technical leader, designing, building and securing Microsoft environments for a variety of clients.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, migrate, secure and optimise Windows Server, Microsoft 365, Exchange and Azure hybrid infrastructures.
• Lead infrastructure, disaster‑recovery, security and modernisation projects.
• Handle advanced L2/L3 escalations and act as a trusted technical advisor to customers.
• Plan and execute server deployments, migrations, DR/BDR solutions (Datto, Veeam, SaaS) and cybersecurity standards.
• Provide L2/L3 support for servers, Microsoft 365, networks, endpoints and security platforms, including troubleshooting via phone, email and ticketing systems.
• Maintain accurate technical documentation and participate in a rotating after‑hours support schedule.

Required profile

• 6+ years of progressive systems engineering or technical support experience.
• Recent hands‑on experience (last 12‑24 months) with server and Microsoft 365/Exchange migrations.
• Experience with DR and backup solutions such as Datto and Veeam.
• Strong networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, routing, switching) and experience with firewalls and security tools.
• Proven infrastructure design and implementation experience, preferably in regulated industries (finance, medical, legal, non‑profit, real‑estate).
• Vendor management and negotiation skills.
