Senior Supply Chain Officer – Logis System Controller

About the role

The Department of Military Veterans is seeking a senior professional to manage and control the LOGIS system within its supply chain function. The role combines system administration, contract oversight and financial monitoring to ensure efficient procurement processes.

Key responsibilities

• Perform LOGIS system controller functions, including user account management and profile maintenance.
• Register, deregister and monitor access for system users, coordinating with LOGIK for ID creation and password resets.
• Generate and analyse monthly, quarterly and annual LOGIS reports and download data as required.
• Coordinate LOGIS training for end‑users and ensure compliance with system procedures.
• Verify and pre‑authorise invoice payments within delegated financial limits.
• Manage contract administration, monitoring supplier performance and updating the contract register.
• Track contractual payments, accruals and commitments, ensuring adherence to service level agreements.

Required profile

• Senior Certificate and an NQF Level 6 qualification (National Diploma or Degree) relevant to supply chain management.
• Minimum four years of relevant experience, including at least two years as a Supply Chain Officer (SL7).
• Logis Controller Certificate and proven knowledge of SCM systems such as LOGIS and BAS.
• Strong understanding of public‑service supply chain frameworks and quality management principles.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the LOGIS system.
• Experience using BAS (or similar) supply chain software.
• Ability to manage financial resources, contracts and supplier performance data.
