Junior Logistics Broker

About the role

A Junior Logistics Broker is needed to support the brokerage team in Pretoria, handling client and transporter interactions, ensuring compliance, and contributing to new business development.

Key responsibilities

• Submit new and existing applications with correct FICA documentation according to company policy.
• Obtain Credit Guarantee Insurance Cover approval and limits for all new clients before registration in the Logistics Information System.
• Monitor and enforce adherence to approved insurance limits.
• Provide stock and contract tonnage data to broker assistants and update daily/weekly stock sheets.
• Handle broker‑related queries promptly and accurately.
• Book and execute brokered loads daily in the Logistics Information System.
• Communicate professional updates to clients and transporters.
• Respond to calls during and after working hours, ensuring timely follow‑up.
• Resolve all queries within two days of receipt.
• Develop new business opportunities, recruit transporters, and maintain client relationships through regular visits.

Required profile

• Degree in Logistics or Supply Chain (agricultural background is a plus).
• Strong computer literacy and bilingual communication skills.
• Outgoing, spontaneous personality with a driver’s licence and own vehicle.
• Target‑driven, able to work independently and develop new sales opportunities.
