Senior Solution Engineer - Integration & Automation

About the role

An established South African enterprise software business, represented by Chosen Online, is looking for a Senior Solution Engineer in Integration & Automation to join its Centre of Excellence. The role is based in Somerset West, Western Cape, and combines business analysis, technical consulting, integration delivery, APIs, ERP systems and automation. It is a hands-on, customer-facing position where you work directly with customers to turn their finance and operational needs into reliable, maintainable integrations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead customer discovery and requirements workshops, and document existing business processes.
• Translate requirements into workflow designs, field mappings, transformation rules and acceptance criteria.
• Build and configure integration workflows, connections and APIs, collaborating with Solution Architects on complex designs.
• Investigate source and target systems using API documentation, Postman and SQL, and implement data validation, error handling, retries and reconciliation.
• Test normal operation, edge cases and failure scenarios, and support customer acceptance testing and defect resolution.
• Prepare deployment, cutover and support documentation, and help customers operate and extend their integrations.
• Share reusable workflows, delivery best practices and product feedback with the Centre of Excellence, and use AI-assisted tools to speed up analysis, mapping, development and documentation.

Required profile

• Ideally 4-6+ years of experience in integration delivery, enterprise software implementation, technical consulting, business systems analysis, API integration or ERP and finance systems.
• Comfortable engaging finance, operations and IT stakeholders and leading customer workshops.
• A relevant degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering or Finance is preferred; equivalent practical experience will be considered.

Required skills

• REST APIs, JSON, XML, SQL, Postman, data mapping, data transformation and validation.
• Advantageous: SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Sage or Syspro; iPaaS, low-code, SOAP, GraphQL, OAuth 2.0, webhooks, scripting, data migrations, finance or HR transformations, manufacturing or eCommerce environments.

What we offer

• Salary of R80,000 - R120,000 CTC per month.
