Senior Social Media Manager

About the role

Digitas is seeking a Senior Social Media Manager to lead social thinking across a portfolio of client brands in South Africa. You will shape strategy, drive innovation and deliver measurable business growth through social channels.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and own social media strategies that translate business objectives into connected social ecosystems.
• Champion social‑first thinking across integrated campaigns and identify opportunities for client growth.
• Create annual, quarterly and campaign roadmaps that are audience‑first and insight‑led.
• Lead integrated social campaigns, mentor junior team members and present strategic recommendations to senior clients.
• Collaborate closely with Strategy, Creative, Data, Media, Client Service and Commerce teams to deliver cohesive social experiences.
• Manage multiple brands simultaneously in a fast‑paced environment.
• Stay abreast of emerging social technologies and social intelligence tools.

• Culturally connected and able to translate trends into actionable social tactics.
• Comfortable presenting to senior stakeholders and leading cross‑functional teams.
• Proven ability to manage several brands and campaigns concurrently.
