Senior Platform Engineer – Kubernetes Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Platform Engineer who will own the design, deployment and operation of production‑grade Kubernetes clusters on bare‑metal infrastructure. The role sits at the heart of our cloud‑native platform, ensuring high availability, security and performance for critical applications.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and manage highly available Kubernetes clusters on bare‑metal servers.
• Bootstrap virtual machines and configure all required Kubernetes tooling.
• Handle cluster networking, storage integration and secrets management.
• Implement RBAC policies across multiple team environments.
• Set up observability – logging, monitoring and alerting – to keep systems healthy.
• Perform routine BAU tasks such as upgrades, patching and resource optimisation.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve platform issues.
• Document architectures, processes and configurations for knowledge sharing.

Required profile

• Proven experience building and operating production Kubernetes clusters on bare‑metal.
• Strong Linux system administration background with solid networking and storage knowledge.
• Hands‑on experience with CI/CD pipelines in Kubernetes environments.
• Familiarity with secrets management and security best practices.
• Comfortable using observability tools for performance monitoring and incident response.
• Effective communicator who works well in collaborative teams.
