Senior .NET Developer – Build Scalable Tax Solutions

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Developer to join our growing technology team that powers South Africa's largest independent tax practice. You will design, develop and maintain scalable, reliable systems that directly impact the business, rather than merely maintaining legacy code.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build end‑to‑end solutions on the Microsoft stack, from Blazor WebAssembly front‑ends to backend services.
• Develop RESTful APIs using ASP.NET Core and implement clean architecture, CQRS (MediatR) and repository patterns.
• Work with SQL Server, Entity Framework Core and Azure services (App Service, Azure SQL, Entra ID, Application Insights, Azure DevOps).
• Collaborate closely with teammates, produce clear documentation and raise code quality through peer reviews.
• Maintain version control using Git and follow Agile development practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong expertise in C# and .NET (versions 8, 9 or 10).
• Hands‑on experience with ASP.NET Core, REST APIs and Blazor WebAssembly.
• Proficiency with SQL Server, Entity Framework Core and Azure cloud services.
• Familiarity with clean architecture, CQRS (MediatR) and repository patterns.
• Experience using Git and working in Agile teams.
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines and take ownership of deliverables.
