Senior Mechanical Engineer – EPC Projects

About the role

Proconics is seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the mechanical and piping design of brownfield and greenfield EPC projects. You will work on petrochemical, renewable energy and industrial plant modifications, delivering high‑quality engineering solutions from concept to construction.

Key responsibilities

• Generate and manage technical deliverables, including reports, scopes, work breakdown structures and resource plans.
• Develop mechanical specifications, detailed designs and high‑quality drawings for vessels, piping and furnaces.
• Ensure compliance with ASME codes, pressure equipment regulations and client standards.
• Mentor and supervise junior engineers, providing technical guidance and review.
• Coordinate with clients, suppliers, fabricators and construction subcontractors throughout proposal, design and construction phases.
• Participate in MFD (P&ID) reviews, HAZOP studies, constructability and design‑philosophy meetings.

Required profile

• BEng/BSc Mechanical Engineering (MSc Eng advantageous); BTech considered with >10 years experience.
• Minimum 8 years experience in industrial mechanical and piping projects, especially petrochemical.
• Registered Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) or Professional Technologist (Pr Tech) with piping design competency.
• Proven experience with ASME B31.3, pressure equipment design and pipe‑stress analysis.
