Senior Manager – US Corporate Tax (CPA)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced US Certified Public Accountant (CPA) to join a specialized financial services firm that supports climate‑technology companies. The Senior Manager will lead complex US corporate tax engagements for a portfolio of venture‑backed startups and SMEs, working remotely with overlapping US business hours.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, review and file federal and state corporate income tax returns (Forms 1120, 1120S, 1065) and ensure timely compliance.
• Advise clients on tax planning, entity structuring, regulatory changes and available incentives such as R&D tax credits.
• Research and interpret tax legislation updates and communicate impacts to clients and internal teams.
• Review financial statements for tax implications, support ASC 740 tax provision calculations and maintain documentation standards.
• Serve as primary contact for assigned engagements, manage deadlines, and resolve project issues.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior tax professionals and contribute to process improvements.

Required profile

• Active, unrestricted US CPA license.
• 5‑10+ years of experience in US corporate tax, preferably with California filing experience.
• Background in public accounting or serving US‑based companies.
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced remote environment.
