Senior Manager – Restaurant/Takeaway

About the role

Pedros is opening a brand‑new restaurant/take‑away in Mthatha and is looking for a dynamic Senior Manager to lead the launch team. You will be responsible for establishing operational excellence, driving sales, and shaping a strong store culture from day one.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the overall operation of the restaurant and take‑away.
• Maintain food quality and ensure compliance with Pedros Standard Operating Procedures.
• Manage stock control, purchasing, and order processes.
• Handle customer complaints and uphold high service standards.
• Achieve profitability targets, sales goals, and gross‑profit percentages while motivating staff.
• Supervise staff scheduling, discipline, and performance evaluations.
• Ensure health and safety regulations are met.
• Conduct daily opening and closing procedures.
• Implement marketing promotions and incentive programmes.
• Lead recruitment, training, and staff development initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in restaurant or fast‑food service management.
• Strong management, organisational, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent customer service and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of GAAP principles is advantageous.
